Recovery from an eating disorder is always possible and it is important for family members to maintain a positive outlook and hold on to hope.

Having a child or loved one with an eating disorder can have a huge impact on family life. You can be very focused on caring for them by giving support at mealtimes, and providing emotional support.

You may also have other family commitments and a job to juggle. It can take an immense amount of time, energy and organising to do all this and attend appointments for therapy.

We are convinced that parents and carers are so important in supporting recovery, that we have devoted this section to you, to help you remain strong and feel supported.
